The “Bay of Fires”was a great place with lots of free camping, clear turquoise waters and great fishing, we stayed here at cosy corner north camping ground from the 17th of Dec 2011 until the 23 Jan 2012. This is one of the best places in Tasmania for camping and you can stay here for up to 4 weeks free of charge. The local town has a winter population of about 3800 which grows to about 17000 in summer so the town flourishes on the tourist dollar.There is talk about charging for camping so it will be interesting to see how this effects the local economy. Some of the footage was taken with a HTC phone and also a GOPRO hero2.There is a stack of birdlife and i have included most of what we saw as still photos at the end, i saw a wombat actually we had a sort of race together side by side down the road whilst on my motorbike.
